Many migrants had to walk for days to reach their homes, many people were stuck on their way back, many landed in government isolation after reaching their villages, there are many who are now locked up inside their homes and have nothing to eat … this lockdown hasn’t been easy


On March 24, in a bid to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a lockdown. Nearly 1.3 billion people were asked to stay at home. But what happened to those who didn’t have permanent homes or shelters? The migrant workers started walking back to their villages. Many villages have gone into self isolation and are not welcoming outsiders. Many are suffering, but there are also many who are lending a helping hand to others despite the adversities.
