हरतालिका तीज को हम प्रकृति की मेंहदी रस्म भी कह सकते हैं, एक ओर जहां प्रकृति भौंर माल, करियाली, कलिहारी, तिवाड़िया, काँस आदि रंग बिरंगे फूलों से सज जाती है, वहीं महिलाएं इस दिन अपने हाथों और पैरों में मेंहदी, आलता लगाती हैं।
